We deliver products and systems designed to connect, protect and control electrical systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency and safety for equipment and personnel.
This is a Segment Marketing Manager (Building) reporting to the Marketing Manager in the Business Area - Electrification located in Beijing, China. You will be responsible for understanding industry trend, market segmentation, building application and customer needs, you will support solution leaders to define go-to-market strategy and future solution roadmap, actively engage in customer events and content creation to create though leadership position and demand creation on building segment.
Your responsibilities
- Understanding China building (Residential / Office / Hotel / Hospital / Retail / other buildings) market size and trends, deep diving into the key sub-segments and key accounts in Buildings, understanding building application and technology trends, customer needs and pain points, translating customer needs to ABB solution opportunities.
- Understanding competitor’s movement, solutions, strengths and weakness, suggesting on our solutions roadmap and offer gap analysis and working with solution leaders to define electrification go-to-market strategy and key account sales plan, contributing on country business plan for building segment.
- Providing solutions and offer gaps analysis, supporting PMD to define solutions and offer roadmap, support PMD on solutions commercialization strategy.
- Providing marketing tools on building solutions, including sales pitch, Website content, etc.
- Leveraging the global segment organization to help train the local teams, using expert understanding of customer and industry behavior.
- Attending external seminar or forum to present ABB solutions in building market, provide building solution articles, social media content to build up “though leadership” in Building market.
- Ensuring timely reporting of key business metrics relating to the datacenter segment, representing the country /region at local management forums, global segment leadership forums and as required to ensure the segment requirements and performance are well understood.

Your background
- Must have a bachelor’s degree.
- Good experience in Tools including ABB EL Building external PPT, Building solutions whitepaper, technical article, other marketing tools and contents.
- Experience in industry and while building design institute or consultant experience is preferred.
- Rich experience in business development, key account management, marketing, and technical specification.
- Good knowledge of ABB products, design and services within the industry (electrical distribution, extra-low voltage, green building).
- Ability to navigate the ABB organization is equally valuable.
