Chassis Powertrain Engineering is about creating exceptional products that are attractive and add value for our customers. We focus on innovation and quality while delivering products on time and within budget.
Aftertreatment Integration Team is part of the Powertrain group under Chassis and Vocational Engineering. In addition to having a major role in keeping our products emissions compliant and fuel efficient through the upcoming regulatory changes in 2024, 2027 and beyond, we will also be supporting zero emissions FCeV (Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle) development effort within Chassis Engineering.
As a Senior ATS (Aftertreatment System) Engineer, you will be a technical expert and represent the team in regulatory programs within Engineering and in cross-functional program teams. You will be working with engine manufacturers, other engineering teams and suppliers to develop best-in-class, reliable and cost effective aftertreatment integration solutions. You will also be a part of Chassis team supporting FCeV projects as we ramp up our efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead ATS Integration efforts in regulatory and vehicle development programs as a technical expert
- Represent ATS team or Powertrain group in Technical Staff Meetings and Program Core Team meetings
- Develop system level requirements, component specifications and vehicle validation plans for ATS, exhaust and FCeV components
- Work with engine manufacturers, ATS and component suppliers to design, develop and validate diesel emissions related systems and their integration into the vehicles
- Support efforts to create FCeV chassis packaging concepts and prototype component and system development for vehicle demonstration and testing
- Provide technical guidance to internal/external customers on matters related to diesel emissions on the vehicle and ATS integration
