Location: Hybrid work is available. Must be able to commute to Exton, PA 1-2 times a week, post COVID-19 Pandemic.
Position Summary:
Bentley Systems is seeking a Senior level accountant specializing in accounting for stock-based compensation programs. This person will work cross-functionally with legal and payroll to help streamline the process for administering and accounting for our employee equity programs. They will be responsible for working with our third-party equity management vendor for obtaining the necessary reports and data for processing and recording transactions. This person will also assist in the quarterly preparation of equity and stock-based compensation related footnotes.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Assisting in the administration of equity award programs
- Accounting for deferred compensation arrangements
- Accounting for stock-based compensation arrangements
- Executing processes in place to comply with SOX procedures
- Calculation and payment of accrued dividends
- Preparing monthly or semi-monthly reports of stock activity for input into payroll
- Working with payroll (both US and globally) to continuously review and improve process
- Quarterly reconciliations of stock activity to payroll
- Reconciliation of stock related G/L accounts in SAP
- Preparing monthly stock-based compensation accounting files for expense recognition
- Preparation of files for DCP distributions
- Quarterly preparation of 10-Q Footnotes
- Quarterly preparation of reconciliation of equity rollforward
- Assisting with annual external audit
What You Bring to The Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
- Minimum five years’ experience, with at least three years in stock-based compensation accounting
- Thorough understanding of stock-based compensation and how it flows through the general ledger
- Understanding of employee tax impact of stock-based compensation, both domestic and international
- Proficient with excel
- SAP experience a plus
- Global, multi-currency experience a plus
