We are looking for an Accountant Analyst that has working knowledge on finance, local accounting, Audits, financial statement analysis and business analysis. The candidate will independently and proactively analyze financial information and develops solutions to moderate-complex problems. Consistently utilizes and applies advanced financial modeling, accounting business, and risk management skills. Provides varying levels of advice and financial information to operational business to drive the business decision-making process. Supports business by closing the books, analyzing variances and trends, that are consistent with the business objectives of the organization. Ensures Accounting local compliance in accordance with Local GAAP standards and US GAAP corporate policies and the integrity of external and internal reporting. Interprets information for and negotiates with customers both internal and external to the organization. Provides input to management including department heads, operational managers, other departments, and senior management for decision making. In addition, the successful candidate will leverage Intel Finance acumen to ensure that the Accounting Activities are properly connected the business to the underlying calculations and positions that are reported.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Financial accounting analysis and application of Costa Rica local regulations, US GAAP and IFRS in the accounting process.
Support end-to-end accounting process for Costa Rica legal entities.
Empowered to run the monthly and quarterly close, preparing and posting ad-hoc journal entries as needed.
Prepare and present annual inform of operations to external authorities
Coordinate and prepare annual adjustments based on IFRS and local standards.
Prepare and present tax declarations to Ministerio de Hacienda.
Provide throughout financial analysis, proactiveness and automation solutions and improvements for processes.
Collaborate with internal business partners and customers to optimize process deliverables.

Qualifications
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a BS degree in Public Accounting with 3+ years of relevant experience or Licenciatura degree in Public Accounting with 1+ years of relevant experience.
Advanced knowledge of IFRS, USGAAP and Local standards GAAP
2+ years of experience in Costa Rica compliance regulations and audits
Intermediate knowledge of SAP and Softland (Exactus)
Basic knowledge in tools such as Power BI, Knime, Power Apps and/or SharePoint.
Intermediate/Advanced Free Trade Zone requirements knowledge
Advanced English level
Must have permanent-unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA (Certified Public Accounting)

Work Model for this Role
This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
