Eaton’s North America Financial Services Division is currently seeking a Senior Accountant Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Beachwood, Ohio location. Position Overview: The Senior Accounting Analyst for GFSS RTR Lease Accounting works as a key member of the Lease Accounting team to assist the company in achieving targeted goals. This position works to enhance the lease accounting and lease lifecycle knowledge of GFSS and Operations. The Senior Accounting Analyst will prepare lease reports, evaluate accounting entries and respond to technical accounting inquiries This position reports directly to the Lease Accounting Manager and has primary responsibility for enhancing the accuracy of accounting entries. The Senior Accounting Analyst will build organizational capabilities by actively training GFSS and Operations on the lease accounting standard (ASC and IFRS), accounting entries and lease lifecycle. In addition, this position will work as a liaison with Global Real Estate to ensure accuracy and integrity of lease data. In this function you will: Prepares training materials and provides training on lease accounting standards and entries Responds to technical lease accounting queries Reviews and updates procedure documentation to ensure compliance with internal and external accounting/reporting requirements Achieves Operational Excellence through effective communication and timely resolution of customer tickets. Works and communicates cross functionally with both international and domestic Eaton sites / teams Support various Eaton initiatives, such as M&A, Legal Entity consolidations and SAP conversions Ensures completeness and accuracy of lease data Actively participates in month end process to ensure completion within target timeframe Prepares lease accounting reports Processes invoice files and ensures accurate lease payment to vendors Acts as liaison and provides support to Global Real Estate Ensures alignment of GRE database and lease subledger Performs testing of Lease Accelerator reports Responds to requests from audit Why work at Eaton? Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business from an accredited institution Minimum of 5 years of finance/accounting experience No relocation is being offered for this role. This position can be based remotely. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of Beachwood, OH. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area.
