Responsible for pricing insurance products using relevant actuarial techniques

• Provide actuarial technical support and analysis in product/reinsurance pricing exercise by understanding and utilizing actuarial models; responsible in programming, modifying actuarial models and providing preliminary review of such models subject to required controls and documentation (30%)
• Preparation of required documents for product/reinsurance filing and approval (10%)
• Effectively communicate with Head of Pricing/Pricing Professional and other internal stakeholders (e.g., Product Implementation Committee) the results of financial metrics and product development propositions
• Provide actuarial support required in development of products (product proposal generators and test scripts, UAT of policy admin system related files (30%)
• Handle complex ad-hoc requests from internal stakeholders (20%)
• Perform distribution channel compensation or campaign assessment/review and formulate proposals for testing
• Handle doer tasks for complex pricing initiatives (special projects); maybe assigned reviewer tasks for simple pricing initiatives

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

• College graduate with at least Bachelor’s degree related in math/statistics

• At least 3 years progressive experience in actuarial field

• Minimum qualification is an Associate of Actuarial Society of the Philippines

• Practical actuarial knowledge; actuarial analysis and programming; understanding of the insurance operations/environment

• Effectively communicate actuarial results to actuarial heads
