Senior Admin Officer
Qualification & Responsibility
Senior Administrative Officer is a member of administrative affairs team and will support the Student Affairs Office (SAO) to roll out a variety of administrative responsibilities focusing on familiarizing policies, preparing official reports, accelerating development and supporting projects within SAO. The position holder is expected to collaborate closely with colleagues across SAO to establish expertise in official reports. The candidate would be expected to be proactive and reflective, detail and deadline oriented, capable of process improvement and has strong networking skills to connect internal and external stakeholders.
Main Responsibility and Accountability
- Resolve administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
- Collaborate closely with all teams and colleagues of SAO to support the routine work.
- Assist the head and deputy heads of SAO with scheduling meetings, and travel plans.
- Coordinate office supplies, take meeting minutes, and make attendance records.
- Give support to office-level and university-level projects.
- Other tasks assigned by the line manager.
- Position Qualification Requirement
Skills and Knowledge
- Bi-lingual (English and Chinese) with excellent written and spoken skills in both languages. A high standard of literacy.
- Attention to details in working on reports and correspondence including accurate typing and proof reading skills;
- Good interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of people, to work as part of a team, and to liaise with colleagues where work interests overlap.
- Dependability, reliability and ability to produce work of high quality.
- Ability to prioritize and organize duties in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Experience
- Master degree in journalism, literature, or education related is preferred;
- At least 2-year working experience;
- Deep understanding of transnational education;
- Evidence of continued professional training.
