General Description
Administrative Officer is a member of administrative affairs team and will support the SACDO to roll out a variety of administrative responsibilities focusing on familiarizing policies, preparing official reports, accelerating development and supporting projects within SACDO. The position holder is expected to collaborate closely with colleagues across SACDO to establish expertise in official reports. The position holder reports to Head of SACDO.
The candidate would be expected to be proactive and reflective, detail and deadline oriented, capable of process improvement and has strong networking skills to connect internal and external stakeholders.
Main Responsibility and Accountability
Collect and analyze information related to regulations on Sino-foreign collaborative universities, government policies and notices and other relevant official documents;- Develop clear analysis of the admission market regarding Sino-foreign collaborative universities and clear understanding of the regulatory and policy framework of both Chinese and UK higher education, and provide advices to the Head of SACDO for compliance of policies and regulations;
- Collaborate closely with recruiting, admission, career and alumni teams, to support the SACDO’s daily work, including assist the Head for schedule arrange, take meeting minutes, collect related data of weekly work report;
- Prepare, review and coordinate submission of institutional reports and proposals as required;
- Other tasks as signed by the Head of Student Admission and Career Development Office.
Position Qualification Requirement
Skills and Knowledge
Bi-lingual (English and Chinese) with excellent written and spoken skills in both languages. A high standard of literacy.- Attention to details in working on reports and correspondence including accurate typing and proof reading skills;
- Good interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of people, to work as part of a team, and to liaise with colleagues where work interests overlap.
- Dependability, reliability and ability to produce work of high quality.
- Ability to prioritize and organize duties in an efficient manner.
Qualifications and Experience
Master degree in journalism, literature, or education related is preferred;- At least 2-year working experience;
- Deep understanding of transnational education;
- Evidence of continued professional training.
