Purpose of your role

This position is responsible for setting up, configuring, managing and administrating of tools used in Software Delivery life cycle. Development, testing and analysis of plug-ins used with the tool chain. Collaborate with Development, Testing and Architecture teams to enhance the continuous integration and continuous delivery process.

This position also works with Development, Testing and Architecture teams to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Administration of Delivery tools like JIRA, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Confluence and Fisheye-Crucible.
• Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving problems with the tool chain configuration and administration.
• Continually seeking methods to enhance and improve current continuous integration and continuous delivery process.
• Flexible work hours are required.
• Develops scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
• Researches new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analysis their application to current configuration management needs
• Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
• Work closely with UK / Indian tool chain administration team and share knowledge with each other.

Experience and Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in computing science or related majors.
• Experience in Atlassian tool chain administration (JIRA, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Confluence and Fisheye-Crucible)
• Proficiency in various scripting languages such as bash, ruby, python and Perl.
• Working knowledge and understanding of Release Implementation process during life cycle of project
• Experience with CI/CD systems like Bamboo, Jenkins/Hudson, TeamCity and Urban Code Deploy
• Experiences with software build tools (Maven, Ant etc.)
• Experience on middleware e.g. IBM WebSphere/Liberty, IBM Http Server, or Tomcat
• Experience on Data Base Oracle or SQL
• Experience working with cloud environments, particularly Cloud Foundry and AWS
• Able to work in an environment at a fast pace and with changing priorities
• Able to work with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, Architecture, etc.)
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills and a willingness to learn
