Job Description
Eaton’s Corporate is currently seeking a Senior Analyst – Financial Systems Support to join our team. This position is based at our Queretaro Office. The Senior Analyst – Financial Systems Support is responsible for regional customer support related activities of Eaton’s operating and corporate financial reporting (FP&A) and consolidation applications. Additionally, the position will ensure data integrity by performing daily and monthly verifications. Eaton currently utilizes Oracle FCCS as the consolidation system and Longview as the financial forecasting and reporting applications. Longview (ENCORE) provides the common communication vehicle for financial results for all worldwide operations. ENCORE is the source of Eaton’s key performance indicators used in determining compensation targets and payouts. The major activities for customer support are in the areas of support desk coordination, communication and training as directed by the Manager of Training and Support. Some activities related with the position will be: Ensure the data integrity of the Longview (ENCORE and RADAR) and Oracle FCCS systems by daily monitoring, analysis of any variances found, and confirmation of accuracy of any data changes. This requires a thorough financial understanding, including corporate calculations, financial performance measures, and impacts of data changes on performance measures. Direct the process for receipt and disposition of FCCS, ENCORE and RADAR support desk cases via the Financial Services Catalog. Work closely with System Administrator(s) for resolution of issues. Develop frequently asked questions (FAQ’s) based on findings from training and user interaction via the support desk function. These FAQ’s should serve the users as well as assist other team members in understanding user issues. Additionally, position must keep management informed of major issues or concerns of users. Assist in drafting and publishing communication to all users for items such as significant system changes, regular processing schedule, special processing schedules, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, ENCORE tips and tricks, etc. Recommend and implement, where applicable, process improvements in any area including system administration processes, user processes, training processes, communication vehicles and support desk processes. Support System Upgrades and Enhancements including planning, communication, testing, analysis, and roll-out. Maintain training materials for changes, upgrades, and enhancements to the applications. Maintenance of SOX controls for system security and access Gather, review and log user requests for future enhancements. Make recommendations for enhancements based on priority and frequency of requests. Support the instructor led training programs and training materials. This includes the coordination and presentation of training with different curriculum based on user classification in both local and international off-site locations. Update team metrics and meeting notes monthly. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: This position requires a solid knowledge of accounting and finance principles and the ability to consistently apply that knowledge to customer situations. At a minimum, the incumbent must have an undergraduate degree in accounting or finance and three to five years of related experience. A strong interest and propensity toward information technology is a desired trait. Knowledge of Eaton reporting and analysis is also required. Knowledge of Eaton’s other financial systems, such as Oracle GL, SAP, Oracle Capital Projects, Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Services (FCCS), Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS), Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (EPBCS), etc., is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also a requirement. This position receives primary guidance from Manager of Training and Support. The ENCORE Regional Customer Support Analyst is expected to use established training and guidance to support the end users, and to document those issues. The incumbent must possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to anticipate and identify opportunities for improvement. The next level of supervision is kept informed of all relevent activities and major system problems or process changes are discussed prior to a final decision. The ability to work in a team environment is critical. Coordination, support, and reliance upon others within the local facility as well as world-wide counterparts is crucial to maintain a common experience for the end users.
