Job Description
The Department

Our Investment Office oversees the Club’s financial assets and manages the investments and their related risks in order to support the achievement of the Club’s mission and objective.

The Job

You will:

  • Keep abreast of the changes in accounting standards and ensure that the Club’s accounting policy and financial disclosure on all investment portfolios conform with the required standards
  • Be responsible for the accounting records for all the investment portfolios
  • Review the standard and customised fund accounting reports provided by custodians/administrators and ensure accuracy before inputting into the Club’s financial and accounting system
  • Liaise with corporate Finance and Treasury on all accounting matters impacting the investment portfolios as well as the Club’s auditor on the annual audit preparation and closing exercises
  • Support implementation of investment initiatives and portfolio activities with respect to the Club’s investments
  • Reconcile and liaise with investment team and custodians/administrators on all reporting packages, and investigate on outstanding items
  • Verify and handle payment on all invoices from fund managers, custodians/administrators and service providers
  • Produce management reports on a timely and periodic basis
  • Compute benchmark and investment returns and maintain data integrity
  • Provide financial income information and assist in computing the annual budget exercise relating to the investment portfolios
  • Assist in conducting and following through on ad hoc projects when and as required
About You

You should have:

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related discipline
  • Experience as a qualified accountant/auditor or financial analyst would be a requirement
  • At least 5 years of auditing/accounting/operations experience in the financial services industry
  • Good exposure to investment products including preferably some exposure to alternative assets
  • High proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese, and be well versed with computer applications such as MS-Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Competency and comfort in handling multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Capable of working independently, efficiently and effectively under pressure and within time constraints
  • Strong work ethic and unquestionable ethical standards
