Job Description
Eaton is currently seeking a Senior Analyst - Material Planning to join our team. This position is based out of our Moon Township, PA facility as a Hybrid Role (3 days in the office, 2 days work from home). PRIMARY FUNCTION: The primary function includes but is not limited to: Creation and analysis of a statistical demand forecast, including incorporation of sales, marketing and customer inputs, resulting in a consensus demand plan. The consensus demand plan is provided to the plants as the primary input for a supply plan which will satisfy customer expectations, while minimizing inventory investment, and maximizing customer growth opportunities. The consensus demand plan is also the primary output in the divisional demand review as well as the foundation for the remaining elements of the SIOP cycle ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Lead and coordinate monthly Product Line reviews with Marketing for the Demand cycle of the Sales, Inventory, Operations, Planning (SIOP) process. Coordinate with plants for establishment of short and long term supply/production plans, by balancing demand requirements versus supply capabilities. Understand and support the requirements of various customer channels (e.g. retail, OEM, distributor, international, inter-unit, etc). Collect and incorporate customer forecasts and historical demand information into forecasting database to be used as in input into future demand and production plans. Use demand information and statistics to develop stock/nonstock classification recommendations; review with key stakeholders and implement. Manage and maintain finished good inventory levels at distribution centers to maximize customer service while minimizing inventory investment. Analyze and present Forecast Accuracy and Bias at multiple product levels. Standardize and publish daily status reports tracking key metrics that drive the business. Communicate with distribution centers on a regular basis to provide shipment coordination, advanced knowledge of significant upcoming activity, changes in numbers of SKU’s, project management, etc. Provide support and coordinate the phase-in of new products and phase-out of obsolete, in order to monitor and minimize excess inventory investment. Coordinate and direct data gathering, analysis, and output with Shared Service Centers. Perform VISTA (proprietary Order Management system) product registration and maintenance. Identify and communicate opportunities to improve customer service, inventory and operational performance to divisional and plant leadership. Support other Supply Chain materials functions as identified Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Demand Planning, SIOP, Supply Chain Analysis. Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (50 mile radius) will be considered.
