SUMMARY
The Systems team is looking for a Twin Builder Application Engineer, to contribute to a team of highly motivated application engineers. The ideal candidate will work on design and simulation of multi-physics systems towards the exciting and critical growth area of digital twins.

The Twin Builder Product Expert is responsible for leveraging advanced-level engineering knowledge and relationships to support regional accounts to achieve revenue targets. The position has a significant impact on software revenue, as well as for helping customers to solve their complex engineering problems using Twin Builder and other ANSYS software products. This role provides technical pre-sales support throughout the entire sales process.

The job involves some travel to customers to deliver presentations and technical workshops within the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead/Assist in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity such as customer meetings and product presentations, demonstrations and evaluations
• Analyze technical needs, requirements, and state of a customers’ current infrastructure, operations, and engineering workflows
• Create and demonstrate system simulation and ROM’s solutions to streamline customer workflows, in support of the sales process
• Manage relationships with selected partners/customers including technical training and applications support
• Manage and disseminate knowledge and expertise within the company
• Participate in internal corporate initiatives to further enhance the solution suites, presales/sales enablement and professional growth
• Provide new product proposals and specific requirements to the product management team

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in Engineering or Physics
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in simulation and testing of complex systems
• Knowledge of modeling languages: Modelica, VHDL-AMS
• Experience with system modeling and simulation is highly desired: Simplorer, Dymola, Amesim
• FEA/CFD simulation is a plus (e.g. Fluent)
• Understanding of scripting/programming languages: python, C/C++
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate and conduct webinars and presentations to customers
• Demonstrated skills in writing and presenting in fluent English
• Logical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solution to the customer
• Projects a professional image and strong business acumen during customer interactions
• Self-starter who possesses a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow up skills
• Communicate equally effectively at the executive level to discuss business requirements and value, as well as the engineering level to discuss technical requirements, capabilities, and benefits

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MS or PhD degree a plus
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in an engineering software environment is a plus
• Must have passion and drive for personal technical excellence and high performance
• Must have customer service aptitude and maintain customer focus
• Ability to travel up to 40%
