Global Business Services (GBS) is the heart of the AZ Finance function. We are accountable for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes which, combined with outstanding business analysis and insight, enables our customers to focus on AZ’s strategic priorities. AstraZeneca’s Finance function is continuing its transformation journey with the objective of delivering excellence in financial operations.

GBS Global Analytics and Automation is enhancing its range of business support capabilities to underpin the delivery of GBS reporting projects across the service lines it manages. These new support services are being centralised under a new Industrialised Services Team. This role sits within that new team, and has the following

Typical accountabilities:

• BAU Production of BI reports/analysis that are in-service.

• Handling the transition into service of new reporting projects, ensuring that appropriate supporting material is in place.

• Develop tracking tools to log business issues, along with requests for modifications.

• Act as a facilitator between IT and business teams for any technical issue facing services.

• Support Team Leaders when there are any ad hoc activities or projects.

• Be involved with, and sometimes take a lead in developments to further automate services

• Support team lead and team members in process improvements and activities to enhance the efficiency of the team. This includes helping new joiners to successfully settle into their new role in their stream.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical IT field

• Preferably candidate with working experience of 2-3 years in similar role/scope.

• Good in spoken and written English. Other languages such as Mandarin and Malay are a plus.

• Proficient in software systems development, ideally in BI Reporting developments, with a good understanding of data structures

• Specific tools experience an advantage: Talend, SQL, Power BI, MicroStrategy

• SAP knowledge an advantage.

• Knowledge of finance or accounting is a plus.

• Independent and can also work well in a team.
