Job Description

    Purpose

  • Manage all site-related contracting and budget negotiations

 Responsibilities:

  • Negotiates contract, study budget and milestones with sites within defined parameters for clinical trials and observational studies
  • Supports resolution of contract issues
  • Supports contracting with local vendors
  • Maintains contract tracking in appropriate systems
  • Identifies opportunities and best practices with local and regional partners that will contribute to overall operational effectiveness

    

     Key Activities

  • Manages the whole process for clinical site contracts (including contracts and amendments preparation, negotiation, escalation, translation, sending, signature)
  • Responsible/point-of-contact for the contracting process for locally outsourced studies
  • Escalates contract and budget issues to Legal or Pricing Group and local or global Study Manager as appropriate
  • Leads the review of the budget template for country feedback on Fair Market Value and the Schedule A template
  • Negotiates site budgets from the base budget and payment milestones using appropriate guidelines, and completes the final Schedule A template for addition to the contract showing the final agreed budget per site
  • Tracks contracts progression using appropriate systems
  • Stores and archives contracts and budgets in the appropriate systems
  • Responsible for the Clinical Trials Insurance process
  • Participates in appropriate site/Legal meetings as required to resolve contract issues

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree OR
  • Bachelor’s degree & 2 years of clinical experience OR
  • Associate’s degree & 6 years of clinical experience OR

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS/BSc in Finance or Accounting
  • 5 years work experience in clinical research experience obtained working on clinical trials in a biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO company
