Sr Associate Cloud FinOps Analyst

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. By joining our team, you will be strategic business partner who provides financial mentorship. The core focus of this position is to help establish scalable governance for cloud spend, discovering, identifying, analyzing opportunities of cloud cost optimization. Knowledge and understanding of Public Cloud services preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the financial aspects of our Cloud Strategy.

• Support consumers in understanding their cloud bills based on their business goals and budget.

• Support partners forecast, allocate and budget for cloud spend.

• Build relationships with key partners to understand their data requirements and translate these into viable reports.

• Produce regular data reports and dashboards to advise decision making.

• Automate manual data gathering, inputs, manipulations, and general toil for all reporting.

• Participate in providing experienced advice on cloud financial management activities.

• Contribute to new projects by reviewing architecture, providing estimates, and diving Cloud Optimization best practices.

• Create and maintain internal documentation on FinOps and cost optimization processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science related field or equivalent experience

• The ability to develop and present financial analysis of a client's spend and make related recommendations for improvement

• Familiarity with cost structure of public cloud products, services and pricing structure.

• Strong written and oral communication skills, and experience presenting formally or informally

• High skill level in managing financial data from various source systems for forecasting and reporting

• Proficient Excel or Smartsheet’s user.

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree

OR

Master’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience

OR

Associate degree and 10 years of directly related experience

OR

High School / GED and 12 years of directly related experience
