Accountabilities:
To the JAPAC Regional Compensation & Benefits Lead
- Execute strategy and manage regional and cross functional compensation and benefits processes and projects
- Perform expert benchmarking analysis to support regional C&B decisions
- Provide C&B support, consultancy and analytical support to JAPAC senior leadership, regional COEs and HRBPs
- Provide support to Global C&B HUBs & projects
Responsibilities
- Develop an in depth understanding and provide support to the global Compensation processes (MAP, Competitive Benchmarking, Salary Structure Development, Job Leveling, etc.)
- Develop detailed understanding and manage benefits programs and processes (Retirement, Health & Welfare programs, Life/Disability insurance…etc.)
- Operational expert for global / regional / local C&B policies and programs
- Support new country entry and M&A in the region
- Support Regional C&B Lead to review, develop and implement local benefit programs / changes to benefit programs to ensure alignment with corporate C&B philosophy across a defined set of countries
- Provide guidance on Amgen’s C&B philosophy and policies to management, COEs and HRBPs
- Provide ongoing compensation communication, training and advice (interpretation of market data, total rewards philosophy, mechanics of regional and global programs, etc) to HR and business leaders
- Actively participate as a member of the global compensation and benefits team
- Understand key business processes to ensure C&B initiatives add value to Amgen’s local and regional business goals
- Support international C&B projects
- Manage supplier relationship and provide feedback where appropriate
- Drive / implement rollout of new technologies
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or similar qualification
- C&B experience of no less than 2 years
- Highly developed analytical ability
- Experience in interacting with various disciplines and organizational levels
- Advanced Excel skills – ability to perform deep technical analysis and build formulas to analyse data sets
- Excellent user of core Office Programs including Word, Powerpoint
- Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication
Preferred Requirements
- Pharmaceutical experience is preferred but not a requirement
- Multinational company experience in a matrix environment for a US based company
- Experience in various areas of compensation & benefits across multiple countries
- Experience with an consulting firm
