Job Description

• Actively contribute to implementation of AIA’s ESG strategy• Leading and owning auxiliary ESG projects that contribute to building equity for the Group’s ESG programme, exercising a specialised technical, research, leadership and project management skillset.
• Oversee and implement environmental management initiatives across the Group
• Support ESG reporting (data management and ESG indices/benchmarks submission)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in regards to the development of the ESG Strategy
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to produce the Annual ESG Report
- Manage, consolidate, and lead independent projects that build recognition and equity for the AIA ESG programme. Examples…
- Research ESG related regulations, listing rules and trends, and work with other functions to operationalise ESG as per local regulation.
- Conduct benchmarking of ESG performance against peers.
- Support the Group’s Investment team in the continued integration of ESG aspects in the Group’s investment portfolio.
- Work with Group Investment ESG in assisting the continuation and integration of ESG in investments
- Support and lead on the production and evolution of materials disseminated to internal stakeholder regarding ESG and its integration

Communication Requirements
- Liaise and interact with different internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders Band 08, rating agencies, ESG associations etc.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Data analytics skills, with experience in carbon and energy foot printing in line with both local and international accounting standards
- Familiarity with ESG Reporting manuals, guidelines and regulation, including those set by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Global Reporting Initiative, among others
- Experience in conducting ESG materiality assessments, including preparing and writing ESG Reports
- Ability to understand and disseminate information related to ESG aspects of the business, including policies and practices, in a short time frame
- Strong understanding of global sustainability issues, and sustainable finance principles and practices
- Strong written and spoken skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management experience, with ability to develop and maintain relationships across the business and at local and international level
- Ability to engage stakeholders on ESG, including informing on industry practices and seeking consensus on stakeholder feedback
- Multi-tasker, with project management experience
- Continue to identify opportunities and lead on ESG integration across the business in-line with strategic priorities
- Required, Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainable Development, Sustainable Finance or a related field
