Amgen is seeking a Senior Associate Model Builder with the passion to drive innovation in a highly-integrated Financial Planning landscape. The Senior Associate IS Architect will be an integral member of a newly formed Agile Product Team that will implement and own ground breaking solutions for global professionals in Finance, Research and Development, and Global Commercial Operations. Responsibilities:

• Rapidly scale up your skillset on the Anaplan platform leveraging our training program

• Assist with model building activities, including build and validation of model structure and calculations, dashboard builds, security and workflow management, performance optimization etc.

• Work directly with architect and product owner to understand and prioritize application focus and rollout

• Ability to work independently and manage small engagements

• Support user enablement and trainings to achieve self-reliance on model development and use

• Maintain SDLC documentation using Agile tools such as Confluence

Basic Qualification:

• Master's Degree and 1 year of Information Systems or Finance & Accounting

Or

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of Information Systems or Finance & Accounting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience implementing at least one Planning solution in Anaplan or similar EPM tools (e.g. Hyperion, OneStream, SAP BPC or TM1) / Strong functional knowledge around FP&A processes and systems

• Advanced Microsoft Excel / financial modeling skills

• Prior Experience working in Agile DevOps teams with ability to adapt to changes a plus

• Interpret Agile concepts like User Stories, Personas, Epics, Features, Sprint etc.

• Possesses strong learning agility and technical know-how - ability to breakdown complex topics issues and into actionable plans for team execution

• Desire to work with a truly dynamic and exciting team, with a “roll-up your sleeves” approach

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, including a natural ability to convey complex technical topics to diverse audiences

• Foster a culture of innovation

• Demonstrable experience as a member of a product team

• Excellent critical and analytical thinking with solid attention to detail

• Experience with cloud ETL tools (e.g Databricks) and Tableau a plus

• Highly proficient in both spoken and written English

• Ability to travel on a limited basis to support global project responsibilities
