When completed, this facility will combine the latest in robotic and automated technologies to allow for maximum operator efficiency in operations. The Final Product facility will not only feature the best in-class device assembly and packaging technologies with embedded industry 4.0 capabilities, but it will also integrate sustainability innovations to reduce carbon and waste, as part of Amgen's plan to be a carbon-neutral company by 2027.

This vital role is within Operations Digital Technology and Innovation (Ops DTI) group will support commercial manufacturing at Amgen Ohio with a focus on Quality, Lab & Benchtop capabilities. The main responsibility of the role to evaluate applications, design, coordinate architecture and support solution deployment working with partners in Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering, and the broader Digital Technology and Innovation teams while adhering to Amgen standards, policies and procedures.

  • Utilize quality lab systems knowledge to architect solution in systems like UPLC, HPLC, LMES, CIMS and serve as technology product owner and system owner for these solutions
  • Work with Quality Analytical teams and Commissioning and Validation teams to develop strategy, plan, and execute for site readiness and continuous improvement
  • Actively engage with business users to analyze business needs, capture and detail business and solution requirements guided by standard methodologies in core application platforms
  • Coordinate workshops and proof-of-concepts to illustrate business capabilities and facilitate adoption by business
  • Provide technical leadership and improve solution approach for analytic data processing and utilization based on industry standards and global standard methodologies
  • Support selection of new technologies as needed, and development of Technology Roadmap for the domain capabilities
  • Identify opportunities for implementing solutions with agile product development methods
  • Investigate root cause and provide general support for deviations, non-conformances, corrective and preventative actions

Basic Qualifications

Master's Degree

OR

Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Associate's degree plus 6 years of Information Systems experience

OR

High school diploma/GED plus 8 years of Information Systems experience

  • The Business Systems Analyst should have experience of working with computer systems from inception to deployment to maintenance. A general to good understanding of Quality, Lab, and Benchtop systems.
  • Familiarity one or more of these systems - CIMS, CDS, LMES, UPLC, HPLC is a plus
  • Experience in executing Agile/SCRUM processes and repeatable, predictable, and high-quality delivery of software solutions
  • Ability to analyze problems, process complex data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Proven excellence in verbal and written communication at all interpersonal levels
  • Solid project management, customer service, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, leading timelines and expectations, and producing high-quality work (documentation, presentations, proof-of-concepts, etc.)
  • Experience working in a validated (GxP) environment, building validation deliverables and managing QA approvals
  • Triage help desk service requests, change requests, and incident reports
  • Coordinate Information Systems asset inventory management, procurement and decommissioning
  • Ensure safety and compliance in data centers and workspaces
  • Strong customer focus with ability to work closely with customers to manage the resolution of Information System tickets in line with customer expectations
