Job Description

This position will be in Supply Chain organization at Amgen Singapore Manufacturing. Area of responsibilities include management of short-term and long-term production planning, material requirements planning, master data management, product inventory control, capacity management, scenario analysis, and strategic resource planning in support of products manufactured in Amgen Singapore.

This position (with increasing responsibilities) will include:

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Scenario Analysis, including Capacity and Inventory Analysis:

  • Provide supply chain information for decision making to Site Leadership Team and Corporate Supply Chain Management group based on the long-term operation projections.
  • Handle long-range capacity analyses driven by demand changes, new product introduction, and/or shifts in marketing strategy.
  • Recommend process improvements to site Supply Chain Strategy.
  • Serve as primary interface with Global and Site Planning for one or more drug substance/product planning networks.

Production Planning:

  • Execute production planning activities (process order creation/release/closure, yield and metric reporting, shipment plan etc).
  • Lead and partner in resolving planning conflicts impacting ASM operations.
  • Ensure availability of raw materials and required system information.
  • Ability to thoroughly understand various manufacturing process requirements for long range plan translation to actionable production and supply plans in SAP and Rapid Response.
  • Review and rationalize product structure and BOM requirements for new and existing products.
  • Maintain master data in SAP and Rapid Response using current production information (BOM and batch record etc).
  • Interface with planner/buyers, site manufacturing, quality, business unit leaders, and finance to ensure functional alignment of plans and expected outcomes.
  • Own relevant production planning related procedures and accountable for generation, reviewing and updating existing procedures (SOPs/policies).
  • Handle costing exercise.

Operational Excellence/Project Management:

  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Represent Supply Chain for site project or new product introduction (NPI) project teams.
  • Continuously drive improvement in the Supply Chain process by defining strategies and translating them into actionable objectives

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of directly related experience OR
  • Associate’s degree and/or 6 years of directly related experience OR
  • High school diploma / GED and 8 years of directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in regulated manufacturing or supply chain setting, with demonstrated full use and application of Standard Supply Chain and Planning principles, theories, concepts, and techniques
  • Demonstrate experience in continuous improvement role utilizing tools, methodologies and change management (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, Human Performance)
  • Ability to effectively engage diverse, global stakeholder groups and manage projects
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Experience with SAP/ERP and/or Rapid Response planning environments and manufacturing execution system (Werum Pas-X).
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen and risk management
  • APICS certification
