Eaton’s Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Senior Auditor- SOX to join our team. This position is based at our Beachwood, OH location. Flexible hybrid work schedule available. Position Overview: This person will help set and ensure compliance with finance policy and internal control standards and act as a business partner. The candidate will perform global internal control testing for key processes as defined by Eaton financial management and policy. The candidate will help Internal Controls teams to identify & implement Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and broader control training and best practices Eaton-wide. The candidate will work closely with internal audit, operations, and the internal controls team. The candidate will provide accurate and timely reporting to senior management. In this function you will: Assist in the development of the internal control audit approach, scope, scheduling, and guest validator resourcing. Lead internal control testing validations around the globe for key business processes. Perform on-site and off-site control testing using internal control test plans and analytical procedures. Partner with the Electrical Sector, Industrial Sector and Corporate segments in identifying best practices and ensuring Eaton policies are being adhered to. Track remediation status and work closely with management to ensure timely remediation of internal control issues. Lead internal control training and communication over the control self-certification process, segregation of duties & access reviews, balance sheet reviews, reconciliation procedures, guest validator training and new site audit preparation. Assist in the development and execution of a data analytics auditing program and the creation of tools to enhance continuous monitoring capabilities across Eaton. Perform centralized validation procedures covering key financial balances. Support management of external auditor’s relationship. Complete special projects as assigned. Why work at Eaton? Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Proficient in operating in a global business environment, utilizing the English language. Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or Finance from an accredited institution required. Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting, finance policy and/or internal control standards. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beachwood OH will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred qualifications: Financial auditing background & understanding of internal control theory. Understanding of Eaton financial systems and standards (Oracle, SAP). Prior public accounting experience. CPA or MBA Position Criteria: Strong interpersonal communication skills. Advanced organizational and time management skills. Flexibility to anticipate and react to changes. Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Experience within a global manufacturing environment an advantage. Multi-cultural awareness and experience beneficial. Travel up to 25%.
