In this position, you will play a key role in realizing Intel's vision to unleash the potential of data and be responsible for working with customers and platform architects to drive customer BIOS and firmware requirements into server platform designs for Intel's biggest customers: the Market Makers and Next Wave CSPs.

Responsibilities include leading server product BIOS development for customer projects and authoring BIOS specifications. You will work closely with Intel's silicon architects and be responsible for software and Firmware related issues during the planning, development, and validation stages of the program.

Other responsibilities include leading a taskforce that includes OS kernel, System Validation and other hardware teams for:

- BIOS collateral release and sighting management
- New silicon feature solution design
- Server platform reliability, availability and serviceability enhancement
- Server platform power and performance enhancement
- Solving complicated silicon issue in large scale datacenter

Qualifications

Qualifications:

You must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent with 5 + years of industry experience in firmware, software, debug or low-level software engineering. An advanced degree is preferred.

Additional qualifications include:

- Excellent problem solving skills, comfortable with the use of software tools to diagnose and debug BIOS, firmware and software issues
- Excellent knowledge of UEFI BIOS operations and interdependencies
- Knowledge of C, C++, Python and/or other programming or scripting languages
Excellent communication (including spoken and written English and Mandarin) and customer support skills
- Strong interpersonal skills (with proven track record of cross-group collaboration)
- Solid knowledge of Intel x86 architecture (hardware, software, firmware) and Linux OS
- Knowledge of motherboard and/or system manufacturing test process
- Presentation skills and the ability understand, specify and communicate requirements to marketing and engineering teams
- Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment and to achieve high quality results
- Flexibility for international and domestic travel
- Experience with IT manageability solutions would be an added advantage
