As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play an essential role in supporting the Commercial FP&A Lead in the delivery of the team objectives.  This includes supporting the new team, building knowledge and driving the culture.

You will be the key focal point in project management & delivery. You will also be the point of escalation for your team, supporting them in both their day to day activities and personal development.

Line management

• Responsibility for managing, coaching and motivating a team of 1-2 Business Analysts, ensuring that the team delivers projects to the highest standard whilst adhering to AZ’s process and financial controls
• Management and allocation of resource across the Business Analyst team. Identify and resolve performance issues that may impact on delivery of projects
• Building excellent working knowledge of customer requirements and business drivers which are shared and understood by your team of Business Analysts as this will impact on the project deliverables. Coaching and development of staff will be integral to building a customer orientated mindset.

Project delivery

• Responsible for delivery of all global and local Commercial FP&A projects
• Act as a focal point for all projects which includes planning, managing and implementation of the projects
• Use end to end finance process knowledge and understanding of customer’s business to ensure all aspects are thoroughly thought out and covered whilst planning and executing the project
• Ensure corporate governance standards are met including all relevant financial policies, standards and controls in each project
• Proactive interaction with GFS teams, Global & Regional teams, Embedded Finance and Business stakeholders to obtain inputs for the successful delivery of the projects
• Determine and highlight risks and opportunities throughout the Project stages to all parties that may be affected by it
• Influence and manage stakeholders ensuring projects are implemented successfully

Essential Criteria:

• Qualified finance professional or equivalent, with 6+ years accounting / controlling / FP&A experience
• Sound understanding of AZ’s finance processes
• English Language proficiency, both verbal and written, with the confidence to express clear opinions and ability to explain financial issues to non-financial management
• Experience of change management and building engagement
• Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience of working in a customer orientated organisation
• Knowledge of Pharma Industry
• Cross-boundary experience, including building relationships remotely and cross-culturally
• Experience of working in a matrix organisation
