Join our Financial Services Division as a Senior Business Development Manager - Clean Technology and help us re-imagine the world by finding solutions and making the world a smarter place for tomorrow As a Senior Business Development Manager, your area of responsibility is to define, develop and execute Siemens' Commercial Finance (COF) UK entry into the Clean Technology market place within the UK and Ireland. You will play a significant and leading role in defining COF UK target assets and customers in line with overall strategy of the business. You will educate and lead the development of the business in order to meet customer expectations and needs, ensuring that the products and proposition is appropriate. This role will be a home-based role and can be based anywhere in the UK. Change the future with us! Play a key role in developing, implementing and executing on a strategy to build and develop the new Clean Technology activities of the business ultimately leading to the formal establishment of a sustainable new channel with budgets and goals in line with overall business objectives Work closely with other key departments to implement the Business Plans for this business. Identify business barriers and agree strategies which will redesign business products processes and policy to support sustainable business growth. Consider the strategic long-term development of the relationships with identified 3rd party introducers, obligors and Siemens Operating Companies taking market movements into account and plan, manage and implement structural and strategic plans accordingly. To undertake formal and informal monthly, quarterly and annual performance reviews with the Leadership Team to ensure the success of the initiative. Identify areas for improvement and set goals and targets in line with overall division objectives and targets. Assist in the recruitment, induction, training and development of the sales team as it builds an order to ensure a high quality people resource is in place and motivated to achieve business targets and deliver an outstanding level of service to customers and introducers of business To ensure regular communication and team briefing activities take place to recognise success and identify opportunities for improvement. To communicate and share best practice amongst the sales team and across the wider business including other Business Units or geographies within SFS To provide recommendation as required in respect of specific proposals and resolve any service issues in order to maintain and improve our service standards. To ensure the most appropriate route to market is adopted. Work to shape the organisation in order that processes and critical service fulfilment needs are met leading to customer service excellence. Develop appropriate processes and tools in collaboration with other business functions. Scope and develop new business sectors in line with strategic objectives. Identify areas of/for the organisation to enjoy competitive advantage. Use your skills to move the world forward! Strong and demonstrable deep knowledge, operating at a senior level, within the clean technology financing industry gained within the asset finance and/or similar equipment related environment Broad and deep experience of working at senior management level as a contributor to the strategic development of an international business. Strong sector knowledge in key asset areas such as renewables, energy efficiency, battery storage, data centres, and other related energy assets. Good grasp of IT and exposure to e-business concepts. Comfortable operating within a matrix management structure as part of a large international organisation Strong attention to detail and service ethos. Able to communicate complex and technical issues clearly and succinctly. Broad and Deep knowledge in business planning, management, marketing, finance and sales.
