We will drive continuous improvement and alignment, as well as preparing the organisation to meet the needs of the future. As the Senior Business Partner you will report to the Head of the IT Business Performance Team in IT's Strategy & Performance function.

The Senior Business Partner will support our Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) IT Function. The key responsibility in the Senior Business Partner role will be to develop strategic management plans and initiatives, whilst running performance measurement processes that link strategic objectives to key performance indicators, to drive the delivery of IT2025 and the overall performance of ETS and IT as a whole.

Accountabilities:

You will enable the delivery and execution of key Strategy & Performance goals & objectives (e.g. Strategy Cascade, Tier, Scorecard) and support ETS strategic planning, to enable them to become more future focussed, operationally efficient and aligned.

As a strategic advisor to the VP ETS - you will be responsible for providing insights on Industry trends both inside and outside of AstraZeneca, that could help innovation and transformation.

Key to success will be to find opportunities to improve the Service Offering of Strategy and Performance, and to help improve, standardise or transform the way that IT delivers.

Driving a continuous improvement mindset and developing a culture of collaboration and partnership to align all areas of Strategy and Performance so that there is a seamless customer interaction and shared information flow.

You will create and design appropriate measures, evaluate metrics and outputs and report on business performance and trends so that the VP ETS understands the business performance against key indicators, risks and actions to mitigate risks, as well as leading on the scorecard creation/management for the functional leadership team and provide a realistic overview of targets

Leading the development of solutions to problems identified through analysis and data driven insights whilst communicating performance and trends to IT Leadership to identify risks at the earliest stage possible

Successful collaboration with ETS leadership and the wider IT team to create and own a Performance Improvement approach and to drive the implementation of a performance management culture based on effective measurement & continuous improvement

Essential Requirements - Education/Experience/Skills

  • BA/BSc degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
  • Extensive progressive experience in Consulting, IT business or financial management
  • Considerable experience leading cross functional teams and building consensus
  • Demonstrable ability to lead change, transform organisational operations and drive alignment
  • Experience with benchmarking/scorecards and reporting
  • Solid skills using the suite of Microsoft Office products
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset and search for new opportunities.
  • Have strong Critical thinking and reasoning skills
  • Ability to transform ambiguity into clarity
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders without authority and comfortable with reporting and communicating to all levels of management
  • Strong data analytics capabilities, change management and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well in and across diverse, global teams and proven ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes
  • Excellence in driving process performance and efficiency improvements (Six Sigma certification a plus)

Desirable Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of business management areas (finance, manpower, portfolio, supplier)
  • Solid understanding of identifying risks and issues within IT landscape
  • Knowledge of new and emerging business performance management approaches, tools and application
  • Able to communicate the potential impact of developments in the IT marketplace on organisations and individuals internal and external to IT
  • Functions independently and as a team member (critical thinker who can deliver solutions and drive improvement)
  • Consulting skills set
