Job Description
Job Summary To contribute to the profit of the division using the methods, more effective systems and procedures in the Purchasing department. Job Responsibilities Maintain communication and updates with internal customers. Consolidate suppliers to optimize costs by offering more purchases in exchange for better costs. Development and implementation of procedures to streamline and improve delivery time. Planning and ordering the necessary materials required for the commercial centers of production. Maintain inventory levels of materials in accordance with the objectives set monthly. Expedite overdue materials to prevent the lack of raw material. Maintain the integrity of the prices to achieve cost-out. Establish and maintain methods for planning purchases. Have direct communication with suppliers regarding material usage as per forecast. Give disposition to rejected material and create corrective action plans. Troubleshooting problem bills to pay our suppliers, avoiding the suspension of our credit. Diverting materials for purposes of reducing inventory. Provide engineering support in the implementation of new materials. Provide the necessary support to production to achieve finished product goals. Provide necessary support EHS policies are respected in all of its contents. EHS Responsibilities: Separate hazardous waste from the common waste. Place hazardous waste (gloves, rags, etc.) in assigned containers. Keep clean the work área contaminant free. Do not waste water. Report any activity that may jeopardize my safety and the environment. Identify and properly dispose all the chemicals that may contaminate the environment. Ensure the correct container for the disposal of hazardous waste (identified containers and containers to prevent spills). Report the entry of new Chemicals required for Maintenance purposes due to maintain a record updated and assure the compliance of the correct handling of them. Contain oil spills and repair as necessary. #LI-SL4 Qualifications Qualifications Preferred education level: Bachelor's Degree. Years and area of experience required: 3-5 years in similar position with electronic components. Technical knowledge: Fully bilingual (English and Spanish), MS Office Excel, Word, SAP. Soft skills: Multifunctional, work under pressure, customer service oriented, abilities to negotiate.
