Job Description
Eaton’s CPD ICD Division is currently seeking for a Buyer / Senior Buyer to join our team. This position is based at our Haina facility Primary Function Assure material is available to support manufacturing of products to satisfy customer requirements. Essential Functions Immediate resolution (critical parts) - Sense of urgency. From suppliers to the line users, current month and following ones. Communicate with vendors for release and pull in and update purchase orders as appropriate. Manage non-conforming material issues. Issue disposition and obtain replacement/credit of parts. Identify & drive resolution on roadblocks - PPAP’s, rejections, engineering and others. Daily production meetings. Inventory control - Kanban, consignment, slow and fast moving. Identify item master changes and advice buyers for changes (unit of measure, conversion factors etc.) Utilize and verify for accuracy all related reports. When there are discrepancies report them to the generator for proper correction. Support Product Industrialization Product Transfers. Support all other activities related to position and or that is needed as per the company urgency. Qualifications Specialized Knowledge SB06 Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field. Experience 1 - 3 years in similar positions. Advanced knowledge of English. PC Management and Microsoft Office programs. Preferable knowledge in Oracle and AS400.\ Competencies: Thinks and Acts Strategically, Gets Results Through Self and Others, Build Organizational Capability, Demonstrates Eaton’s Leadership SB07 Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or similar careers. Minimum 3 years of experience in similar areas. Bilingual (English/Spanish). PC knowledge, Microsoft Office, AS400, Windows, Access, ERP/MRP. Capacity and ability to work under pressure and prioritize.
