Eaton manufactures 3-phase UPS devices and battery energy storage solutions for the EMEA market at our facility in Espoo. In addition to traditional UPSs we develop energy storage and hybrid UPS solutions. The future trend for UPSs is to be a part of the grid and support usage of renewable energy. We are looking for an inspired and dynamic Senior Buyer to join our EMEA 3-phase Manufacturing organization in Espoo, Finland. This role will be responsible for tactical and operational purchasing support for UPS manufacturing operations. Your key deliverables: The primary function of this position is to act as a Senior Buyer (Indirect) in SCM organization, where you are responsible for: Managing plant indirect procurement process with key stakeholders (R&D, production, HR, EHS, global procurement) Ensuring optimal supply base for needed services and materials (strategy fit, cost, quality, availability, service level) Driving RFQ’s and supplier onboarding processes according to Eaton policies Managing tactical and operational purchasing for indirect and selected direct material categories Nurturing continuous improvement potentials in supplier co-operation The role is a fantastic opportunity to work within our World Class organisation at Eaton. Qualifications What are we ideally looking for? • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/ Science/ Logistics/ SCM / Business Administration or equivalent • Experience in purchasing, sourcing and supply chain management • Expertise in indirect service and /or material categories • Ability for team work in a global virtual team • You are highly aware for safety and quality • You are Team player working in a collaborative matrix environment Supporting skills desired in this position: · Experience in SAP ERP system · Understanding of typical elements in various indirect contracts and negotiation skills · Knowledge of MRO and investment goods categories We would like to hear about you!
