This is a Senior Buyer (Plant Lead) role reporting to the Procurement and Logistics Manager in the Business Area – Electrification, Distribution Solutions located in Xiamen, China. As member of local business line procurement team, you will be responsible for purchasing activities and KPIs for local profit center – CNILX DS.

Your responsibilities

  • Collaborating closely with Planning and Fulfillment team to ensure material readiness per master plan.
  • Converting purchase requisition (PR) to purchase order (PO) to support production and project execution, clarifying PR requirements with planning or/and project manager and creating PO including special requirements order for project.
  • Releasing PO to suppliers, managing order acknowledgement by suppliers and confirm delivery schedule back to planning team.
  • Being responsible for PO changes requested by operation and project team, clarifying new requirements between project team and supplier to ensure the changes fulfilled and project delivered to meet customer needs.
  • Leading plant buyer team and managing supplier OTD performance to meet operation requirements. Maintaining SAP data including vendor master data creation, change and block& unblock.
  • Working on SCM reporting and administration, supporting supplier contract management, managing invoice issue and PO advance payment, handling all kinds of purchase related system tools, supporting SCM QMS management, supplier audit and supplier quality improvement.

Your background

  • Bachelor of economics, supply chain management, logistics or other Engineering Majors.
  • 5 years working experience and at least 3 years in supply chain management in large industrial plants.
  • Experience in SAP/Oracle ERP system, supply chain management, MS offices; analytical skills and data management.
  • Good at communications, fluency in English both in writing and speaking.
  • Must be passionate and willing to take challenges, accountable and able to deliver result, be self-disciplined and self-motivated and eager to Learn and drive changes.
