Senior Clinical Data Scientist II is responsible for developing CM functionalities of increasing complexity and coordinates work of other personnel developing standard and/or study-specific functionalities. Provides guidance to more junior CM personnel. Acts as subject matter expert for selected CM functionalities.
Works closely with RbQM leads and other Data Scientists.
Typical Accountabilities
Will work independently and take responsibility for specific deliveries within a study or project.
Designs, develops and leads development of data mapping to CM functionalities. Tasks can involve gathering of requirements, programming, testing, documentation and coordination of work of other involved personnel
Be responsible for maintenance of data mapping and study specific CM analyses to ensure they continue to work in line with requirements; acts as a subject matter expect.
Provides Clinical Data Scientists and Senior Clinical Data Scientists I with guidance on design and development of data mapping and CM functionalities
Identifies opportunities to improve best practice and provides practical solutions to problems
Has a good understanding of CM analytical framework
Can lead activities related to development of CM functionalities for study or project including overseeing work of more junior staff, delegating tasks between other engaged team members
In collaboration with Senior Data Scientist will develop and apply novel CM analyses
Can contribute to function by training and mentoring of more junior staff
Leads quality of own deliverables and oversees quality of Senior Clinical Data Scientists I and Clinical Data Scientists
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
Educational degree (BSc/Msc/PhD) in Life Science, Computer Science or Information Science and 3 years of experience in the application of information and knowledge management in a clinical or scientific setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Has advanced knowledge of R programming language.
Team organizer
Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
Project Management skills
Ability to mentor, train and lead teams.
Good understanding of the clinical development process
Has a solid knowledge of SQL
Desirable
Previous experience with Business Analytics Software, e.g. Power BI / Spotfire / Tableau is an advantage
Previous experience in life science and clinical studies is an advantage
