In Carlsbad, CA or Remote USA has an opportunity for a Senior Clinical Research Scientist within our Cardiometabolic & Informatics business unit. You will work with medical directors to execute medical affairs strategies and complete medical affairs projects by focusing on product lifecycle from research through the on-market phase, including medical input/support for product development and medical support for assessing on-market product issues. Additionally, you will review, synthesize data clearly and present conclusions to medical directors while working independently and within an internal cross-functional team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Execute Medical Affairs strategies in consultation with their manager
• Be able to write clinical study protocols and publications
• Explain complex medical issues to non-medical personnel
• Will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders
• Be accountable for understanding compliance requirements, risk identification and assessment, mitigation planning, and implementation and monitoring of appropriate internal controls.
• Ensure adherence to applicable company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all training requirements.

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

• BS degree with 10+ years’ relevant work/industrial experience Or Masters with 5+ yrs

Preferred

• PhD and/or MD with clinical experience in an industrial setting preferred
• Authored on peer-reviewed publications
• Exposure to Cardiometabolic, Renal, and Hepatology
