In this position, you will play a key role in realizing Intel's vision to unleash the potential of data and lead the development of next generation servers for Intel's biggest customers: Market Makers and Next Wave CSPs.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
1. Integrate all Intel components: CPU, SSD, DCPMM, NIC into the design and perform feasibility study include system level placement, thermal, mechanical and board placement and critical bus routing study.
2. Lead platform hot issue and debug in both design and sustaining phase
3. Work closely with internal architectural teams and define product concepts based on customer input and requirements, designing critical core technologies and lead hardware technical team on the design of server/storage subsystems
4. Lead and coordinate across organizations and geo platform issue trouble shooting
5. Product design-in, system power-on, debug and validation support of customer hardware platform designs
6. Perform schematic and layout review for customer design
7. Providing technical training to customers, deliver platform dates and the MOW
8. Be the trusted technical advisor for our customers
9. Answer customer technical questions during the design enabling and design-in phases
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with over 8 years of related Platform Hardware Design, Applications Engineering or IA Processor and chipset validation experience. Advanced degree is preferred.
Additional qualifications include:
1. Experience in IA-based server motherboard and system design, and issue debug
2. Strong digital circuit design skills with experience of high speed digital busses like DDR4/DDR-T, UPI, USB and PCI Express
Knowledge of platform testability architecture and tools, i.e., JTAG/BDSL, Intel Cscripts
3. Knowledge of Machine Check Architecture (MCA) and Machine Check Error (MCE) analysis and debugging methodologies with the handling of related Tools
4. Solid presentation, communication, and writing skills in English
5. Strong problem solving and debug skills
6. Previous customer technical support experience is highly desirable
7. Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
