Designs, develops, and optimizes orchestration software technologies for cloud, enterprise, edge, IoT, and telco. Partners with Intel engineering teams, the open source community, and major customers to develop cloud orchestration, frameworks, and technologies used to deploy, run, optimize, and scale cloud software, including microservices, containers, orchestration, runtimes, virtualization, networking, storage, resource management, telemetry, observability, security, FaaS, and automation. Drives new features design, implementation, performance optimization, and innovations in cloud orchestration and middleware frameworks, develops cloud open source and proprietary software, contributes in open source community work, and actively participates in the full software development cycle from concept to release.

Qualifications

As a Senior Cloud Software Development Engineer, you will be working closely with CSPs (Cloud Service Providers) on cutting edge cloud computing technologies. You will play a critical role to co-develop the critical technologies and workloads for the cloud ecosystem. You will participate the full development cycle in below areas.

• Architect, design, prove of concept, and joint development with CSPs.
• Fully utilize the cloud capability with Intel's architecture and fit into cloud ecosystem.
• Define and validate the cloud workload performance and infrastructure management.
• Engage with hardware, firmware, software teams and CSPs for end-to-end solutions.
• Triage and troubleshoot the reported issues with efficient outputs.

Qualifications:
You must possess a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent with 8+ years of industry experience software development, solution architecture or system engineering. An advanced degree is preferred.
Additional qualifications include:

• Knowledge of C/C++, Java, Python and/or other programming or scripting languages.
• Strong knowledge of Linux kernel, operation system, distribution system, and multi-thread application development experiences.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure management, DevOps, CI/CD and workload performance tuning.
• Excellent problem-solving skills on cloud platform.
• Experience on cloud development and understand the cloud ecosystem.
• Excellent communication (including spoken and written English) and customer support skills
• Strong interpersonal skills (with proven track record of cross group collaboration)
• Presentation skills and the ability understand, specify and communicate requirements to marketing and engineering teams
• Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment and to achieve high quality results
• Ability to travel internationally and domestically for customer and internal business
• Experience with IT manageability solutions would be an added advantage
• Excellent time and priority management skills
• Have passion for new technology and challenges

The following qualifications would be added advantages:

• Experience in Linux kernel development
• Experience in cloud DevOps and cloud workload performance tuning.
• Experience in open source development is nice to have.
• Experience of secure code development and security issue fix are nice to have.
