This role offers a unique opportunity to play an active role in a combined function as Senior Commercial Sales Manager (CSM) as well as Senior Commercial Project Manager (CPM). As Senior Commercial Sales and Project Manager, you will be responsible for the financial, commercial and contractual management of the sales pipeline and projects in the execution phase. You will hence be responsible for income, costings, gross profit and cashflows as well as for commercial and contractual follow-up of the offers and projects, in close collaboration with the respective Bid and Project Managers, support functions such as Legal and Senior Management in a global operation. Areas of Responsibility Senior Commercial Sales Managers scope: Guides ongoing comparison of objectives and their achievement, drives consistent steering actions to achieve the targets set by the business in terms of new orders, sales, profits and cash. Coordinates and organizes all financial and commercial activities within the scope of the applicable business processes for sales and bidding. Ensures the compliance with the Limits of Authority (LoA) guidelines for all commercial aspects. Guides complete and timely elaboration of all necessary financial/commercial documents for the sales and bidding process, e.g. contract analysis, evaluation of risks, project selection, bid/no-bid decision, LoA. Performs ongoing optimization of organization, procedures and processes to ensure rationalization potential, to optimize productivity and to increase customer satisfaction. Guides technical partners in commercial and financial matters. Ensures contract Management / Contract Structuring for internal and external business (Contract Analysis, clarifications, deviations, tax analysis (PATAC), contractual risk evaluation, insurance concepts) Ensures Bond and Guarantee Management during the Bid phase Manages or contributes to ongoing optimization processes to ensure rationalization potential, to optimize productivity, and to meet safety requirements. Senior Commercial Project Managers scope: Ensures the accuracy of project books and records, including recording of such in the appropriate systems, e.g. SAP - ensures compliance with Siemens-FRG plus the local GAAP requirements. Ensures all related Project Reporting and Controlling activities. Supports the Project Manager (PM) that the financial results according to set targets are managed with due professional care and optimizes the project gross profit, cash flow and assets and financing instruments. Actively communicates with customer's commercial representatives and manages solving of commercial and contractual issues. Together with the PM proactively setting up a contract and claim management in the project, including involvement and cooperation with the assigned contract manager. Supports the PM in identifying, evaluating and assessing risk and opportunities, strategies and response activities – taking over the full responsibility in this regard with respect to all commercial risks and opportunities. Supports PM and Procurement to select and involve partners /subcontractors. Represents the project in the relevant decision boards internally and externally. Agrees targets with commercial project staff and delegates defined responsibilities and authority. Leads commercial project team members to act according to the Business Conduct Guidelines and establishes a culture of trust and integrity. What we expect Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fields. Advanced Knowledge of project and contract management especially with large, complex international projects. Comprehensive Know-how on financial accounting-IFRS, controlling, reporting/preparing procedures and documentation for Audits. You are confident and capable of working with a wide variety of people. You demonstrate sound judgement and business integrity. You are capable to drive an international team and communicate efficiently in our international unit and externally. Advanced leadership as well as excellent organizational skills. Other requirements: You are used to work in SAP and with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Advanced verbal and written skills in English.
