Job Description

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

On Time Delivery:

  • New Product Materials Readiness – Lead material readiness meeting with the Suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure availability of materials necessary to meet production schedule
  • Identify issues early in the NPI phase and drive these to resolution prior to ramp
  • On-site management of manufacturing partners to manage builds, risk mitigation and ramp
  • Review past due purchase orders weekly report works with supplier for necessary solutions then report status to management
  • Manages Supplier forecasts and lead-times changes and communicate with planning department to ensure accurate delivery schedules

Cross-functional Support:

  • Support the Quality Department to close out all discrepancy reports and corrective actions
  • Manage changes involving new material cost negotiation, sample qualification and material transitions then works with PE team and supplier side for PCN process
  • Integration relate engineers and channel marketing for cables projects weekly progress meeting

Supplier Management:

  • Maintain supplier scorecard with KPI’s that report supplier performance
  • Coordinate supplier reliability evaluations via supplier visits, analysis of cost reports, supplier P&L statements, quality system audits, and other data; compiles comprehensive supplier visit reports
  • Procures materials, expense items, equipment and services within the provisions of applicable Government laws and regulations and Company Policy

Cost Management:

  • Collect supplier pricing and create comparison charts for management review and approval
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain most favorable price, schedule, and terms and conditions
  • Develop, negotiate and execute a component and finished product cost strategy

Project Management:

  • Ability to manage all the above tasks.
  • Facilitate requests for proposal/quotation; response analysis, summary reports and recommendations for management review for supplier selection
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with the Company's Code of Ethics & Business Conduct Guidelines, Purchasing Policies & Procedures, and legal & ethical business practices
  • Develop performance metrics and drives initiatives to ensure goals are met on schedule

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ Years of procurement and negotiation experience
  • Up to date expertise in various consumer PC product industry commodities especially for Power Supply, mechanical components, cables (AC power cord, DC cables, USB/SATA/Audio extension cables)
  • Outstanding analytical capabilities. Strong negotiation skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work cross functionally in a dynamic environment. Strong work ethic with high degree of flexibility
  • Proficiency in MS Office especially for excel
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Bi-Lingual: Mandarin and fluent English
