Job Summary

The CoE Senior Consultant will be part of SDC application development team for 67 countries across the globe, based out of state-of-the-art IT facility in Chennai. CoE Engineer will be responsible for Java implementations and enhancements in the BPM, BRMS across the globe, carrying out assessments/analysis, proposing designs and solutions and successful implementations for various market requirements. The role involves working along with other centre of excellence members, testing and release engineering teams for successful deployment of the implementations to the production environments. The role would involve all the activities from a development perspective that are related to enhancing the capabilities of the Jboss BPM/BRMS & Java implementation at AstraZeneca.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform analysis for proposing solution/technical design for various market requirements
• Leading the result for each sprints and ensuring technical support for junior resources
• Implementation of design solutions for enhancement of the capabilities of BPM & BRMS as per various Market needs
• Understand coding standards and incorporate them within code being developed
• Willing to learn and adopted new technologies in short period of time as required by the Project
• Co-ordination with Test and Release engineering team for defect management and successful deployment of the enhancements to the production tenants.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Experience of 5-7 years in Java & Spring boot and Strong programming skills with Java, J2EE.
• Good knowledge in framework like JPA, Hibernate and Spring Boot.
• Experience in Jboss Developer Studio (JBDS) & Eclipse
• Extensive working experience in writing queries with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL (or similar).
• Good understanding of End to end architecture and deployment of Java Application
• Good to know Drools & Apache Camel
• Experience with version control systems like Git, Bitbucket
• Experience in Build Management Tool like Maven.
• Experience in testing framework like Junit
• Experience with REST Web Services.
• Experience in working Agile methodology
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to solve complex problems
• Work as a member of a team
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to decipher highly technical data
• Ability to multi-task in a constantly evolving work environment
