ABOUT THE ROLE

• Core Skills:
• A good understanding and hands on experience of using Linux Platforms like CentOS and RedHat.
• Understanding and experience in building vanilla Kubernetes Clusters in different cloud providers both manual and automation.
• Understanding and experience in building docker images and maintaining them in private docker registry like Harbor and Jfrog Artifactory.
• Understanding and experience in containerizing applications like Java, NodeJS, Python and Go.
• Understanding and experience in AWS basic services like EC2, S3, Load balancer and Route53 etc.,
• Understanding of fundamental network and web technologies like DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, HTTPS.
• Hands-on experience in working with NGINX Reverse proxy and Load balancer.
• Understanding of open-source databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB. Nice to have automation experience in this area.
• Basic understanding of YAML, JSON and Rest API concepts.
• Understanding and experience in monitoring and visualization using Prometheus, ELK Stack and Grafana etc.,
• Able to understand the security tools and standard methodologies: CIS Benchmarking, OS hardening, vulnerability scanning, system auditing.
• DevOps and Automation Skills:
• Hands-on experience of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in designing and implementing engineering solutions for infrastructure management using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Experience in managing Jenkins and writing pipeline scripts.
• Proven experience with scripting languages like Shell Script and Python. Nice to have if familiar with PyTest and Kubernetes client module.
• Good understanding of automated application deployment using Helm charts in Kubernetes.
• Agile Delivery
• Understanding and experience of Agile principles and use of Jira
• Other Skills and Certification:
• Desirable to have experience in building applications written in programming languages like Java, NodeJS, Python and Go.
• Desirable to have experience in developing and maintaining Helm Charts.
• Highly desirable to have Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Developer (CKD) certification.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• Experience with at least 3 yrs of Cloud Technology, Kubernetes, DevOps, Automation and Good Communication Skills
