Responsibilities

Microsoft Consulting Services is looking for a Senior Consultant that specializes in Active Directory. The ideal candidate will deliver Enterprise Services technical solutions to customers allowing them to maximize their investment in Microsoft technology. Building upon solid IT project experience relative to their level, consultants will work with Microsoft’s partners and customers to assist in the delivery of high quality engagements around Microsoft’s solution areas, technologies and products in diverse client environments. Stabilizing developed solutions using Microsoft methodologies in complex customer environments. The design and development of integrated solutions using the latest Microsoft products and technologies.

Qualifications

A minimum of 4 years of experience with designing (creating documents) and implementation planning for Active Directory and assessing customer environments.
Experience planning and implementing a Forest and Domain architecture to include Forest and Domain consolidation and migration.
Experience planning and implementing Group Policy; understanding of precedence and policy processing.
Experience planning and implementing an Organizational Unit (OU) structure.
Understanding of trusts and security implications of said trusts.
Understanding security requirements, risks and mitigation strategies of various industries and impacts to solutions such as internal vs. external threats and mitigation, Pass-the-Hash mitigation and other similar security concerns and STIG or similar baseline lockdowns.
Experience with reading, interpreting and/or developing Technical specifications, diagrams.
Ability to work with Leads and/or senior leadership, both internally and customer facing, to develop and communicate solution and technical information in the customer's
context.
Strong problem solving & troubleshooting skills.
Recommended/preferred:
One or both of the following certifications:
MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure
MCSA: Windows Server 2016
Experience working with and migrations into AzureAD.
Understanding of Windows Server, Hyper-V or other virtualization platform, MS Cluster Server/Multi-vendor Cluster and SAN implementations, IIS, Desired State Configuration (DSC), PowerShell scripting.
Understanding of basic principles of Identity security.

 

Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems. Will consider related field (or equivalent) experience.

 

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate U.S. Government clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

 

Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
