ABOUT THE ROLE

• Provide data engineering (ETL, ODS, Marts) support to Enabling Projects in talend
• Deliver cost-effective solutions to support data engineering activities, for example, data ETL workflows
• Test and quality assess new D&A solutions, to ensure they are fit for release: code assurance, Unit and System Integration Testing, Data testing, release management control and support of UAT processes
• Be a team player on DevOps environment
• Capable to balance the Build & Run activities parallelly.
• Ensure that business data and information assets are made available as data services and artefacts for consumption by the wider AZ enterprise
• Experience working in Datawarehouse/ETL Projects with multi-functional teams.
• 10+ years of experience overall and 5+ year in Talend Studio/Enterprise Development
• Should be an individual contributor and play the role of SME
• Highly motivated and dedicated individual
• Good knowledge in Data Modeling and Data Catalogues.
• Should be able to implement CICD and setup Automation process
• Possess Knowledge in Lean practices.
• Hands-on in any Cloud platform
• Knowledge in GIT, GIT-Hub/Bitbucket and Nexus and proficient in SQL queries. (Aurora & Redshift).
• Development of both standard ETL jobs deployed on JobServers and services (REST, SOAP) deployed on Talend ESB infrastructure
• Familiar with using version control (branching, merging etc), ideally Bit-bucket
• Hands-on with TAC 6/TAC 7 scheduling and monitoring
• Knowledge of working with Talend project branches, merging them and publishing and deploying code to runtime environments
• Knowledge of techniques for optimising Talend code
• Experience in Talend best practices for error handling, optimization, job layout, job design and naming conventions
• Experience and familiarity with Finance Data models and artefacts
• Excellent analytical abilities and communication skills
• Have better understanding of Datamodels, Star, Snowflake schemas and Slowly changing dimension
• Hands-on experience working with cloud architecture like AWS,AZURE etc.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum
• Knowledge of ITIL/Service Excellence
• Fair knowledge of ETL testing and Data Integration.
• Experience of building unit tests, integration tests and exploring automated test cases.
• Understand the business requirements to the technical specifications
• Fair knowledge on Ledger Systems, P&L analysis and finance data models/HR data models
