Job Description

**Full-time, home-based position with regional travel. The ideal candidate will reside near a major airport in the Western U.S.**

The Senior Consultant Professional Services (Senior CPS) is a collaborative member of the cross-functional project team responsible for the implementation of BD Pyxis Medication Management Systems at the large to extra-large hospital level. The Senior CPS’s demonstrated expertise in clinical and technical aspects of Medication Management Systems enhance credibility of recommendations to Pharmacy, Nursing, and Information Technology stakeholders. The Senior CPS gathers goals and requirements for the system to facilitate effective guidance of the customer during solution design, validation processes, and the design and delivery of an effective customer training plan. The Senior CPS effectively performs the required tasks to ensure timely Go-Lives and customer satisfaction.  The Senior CPS serves as mentor to other internal team members.  The Senior CPS participates in pre-contract support activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and provides Global Customer Services (GCS) readiness support.

The Senior CPS will:

• Demonstrate proficiency in product feature/functionality and operational knowledge of core Pyxis dispensing products & solutions
• Drive positive customer outcomes by use of effective consultative professional skills
• Provide consulting and support for large/extra-large and multi-facility entities to include on-site clinical expertise, workflows, solution design, validation, training, go-live, and post live
• Leads pre-sales engagements & Sales pre-contract support
• Provide GCS Readiness & Dev Ops support to Extended Team members
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and the development of tools for the advancement of the Professional Services consultant community

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience.
• Licensed professional Pharmacist required.
• Expertise in HIS/PIS systems and pharmacy and nursing workflow 
• Ten or more years in acute care hospital environment with Pharmacy operations, technical (systems) involvement and computerized system applications.  
• Dispensing software technology experience a must. 
• Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, OneNote)
• Exposure to clinical software applications expected, including BD Medication Systems Dispensing products 
• Recent, relevant consulting experience preferred.
• Experience with large/extra-large health systems required.

Other Requirements:

• Works primarily in a geographically defined territory; however, based on account or project needs, could be assigned outside of the territory or region. Travel may range from 60% - 80%, overnight travel included
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards
• Position requires flexible working hours, including some nights and weekends  
• Ability to work independently from home office
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. This position may involve pushing, pulling, stooping, bending and lifting
• Upon hire, must provide proof of, and maintain current immunizations and obtain additional immunizations appropriate for the facility which enables access to customer sites in order to perform essential job functions. Proofs must include: Hepatitis B, Influenza (current year), MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), Varicella (chicken pox) Annual TB/PPD (skin test), Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis.
