ABOUT THE ROLE

• Lead the GTC Chennai strategy and service for D&A Digital Health data platform, being the single point of contact for all Digital Health R&D applications, Training and Recruitment
• Be an active member of the D&A GTC team, supporting the development of overall D&A strategy and capability build & maintenance for R&D IT
• Line Manage the D&A Digital Health data platform team, ensuring team capacity, capability, operating model, and service is line with Portfolio demand.
• Work in Partnership with Project Managers in supporting Application Development activities
• Build and maintain partnership with internal and external delivery partners to identify opportunities and support models for capability augmentation (capacity and capability).
• Manage application risk (e.g. SOX, GxP compliance, license compliance, technology support)
• Ensure change requests for the capability are captured, prioritised, developed and implemented in line with Agile delivery principles
• Drive platform continuous improvement program and play key role in design and implementation team
• Ensure that applications are monitored and consistently delivered to agreed SLAs (e.g. availability, performance metrics, disaster recovery).
• Proactively identify and report improvements to services within the business capability application portfolio.
• Review and quality assess new D&A solutions, to ensure they are fit for release
• Ensure that business data and information assets are made available as data services and artefacts for consumption by the wider AZ enterprise

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• Experience of working with a range of data analytics architectures. These may include traditional warehousing, distributed computing, visualization analytics
• Experience of running DI & BI solutions on the AWS cloud infrastructure would be a distinct advantage
• Experience of working in a multi partner scenario and a cross- culture environment
• Experience of running Agile projects / methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
• Should have experience in a validated environment and aware of GxP & SOX requirements
• Experience of issue management, problem analysis, troubleshooting, testing and end-user support
• Evidence of shaping innovative solutions that have a major impact within the business area and organisation
• A good team leader with proven experience in stakeholder management
• Ability to guide and mentor team members.
• Proactive approach to problem solving.
• Able to grasp and understand new technological trends / concepts
• Experience working in a globally distributed team
• Understanding of business processes in the life sciences / pharmaceutical domain preferred.
• Interpret data, process data, analyze results and provide ongoing support of productionized applications
• Delivery experience across key elements of the data & analytics domain
• Great interpersonal skills & a collaborative approach to delivery
• You must have strong analytical and data manipulation ability
