ABOUT THE ROLE

• Plan, design and implement features within Unity to agreed timelines, both on your own and as a member of a team
• Create AR, VR, and MR proof of concepts and production solutions
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle – architecture, design, build, and code reviews
• Develop technical documentation for internal use
• Ensure delivery activities are carried out in alignment with required processes and governance
• Proven track record of delivering 3D Unity projects, either in an enterprise/industry or gaming context
• Strong C# programming skills (mandatory requirement)
• In depth understanding of Unity3D
• Experience developing AR, VR and MR experiences, being familiar with libraries such as XRIT, VRTK, etc
• Experience working with assets (meshes, animations, materials, etc)
• Experience profiling and optimizing game and render performance
• Experience with source control (Git or PlasticSCM preferred)
• Ability to lead technical architecture discussions and to help drive decisions relating to the Unity ecosystem
• Experience creating multi-user experiences
• Able to work with ambiguity and customers that don’t fully understand the technology to define requirements and prioritise workloads

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• Experience with networking libraries, such as Photon Realtime
• Knowledge of deploying from Unity to multiple different platforms including Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, web, Oculus and HoloLens
• Knowledge of unit testing
• Experience developing applications using RESTful APIs
• Worked as a gameplay programmer as part of an established team
• Knowledge of 3D modelling, texturing, UV mapping with tools such as Blender would be a bonus
