Job description:

AstraZeneca is looking for entimICE Infrastructure Support Lead with Clinical Studies Domain experience to join the entimICE Global Support team.

Additionally, the engineer will also be working on configuration changes/new configuration development. Candidates for this position should have strong BAU/Maintenance support knowledge.

This infrastructure lead role may be part of the Analysis and Platform team for AZ entimICE application.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of simple and moderately complex changes to Application Hosting infrastructure.
• Evaluate new enterprise storage hardware and software research ways and means of improving performance and monitoring increase reliability make recommendations to management and implement innovations as appropriate.
• Perform delivery activities through Design / Build / Test / Deploy phases for regular releases and key entimICE platform initiatives.
• Design and build extensions for entimICE to accommodate custom business flows.
• Ensure that all system security and control procedures are implemented and maintained
• Generate and implement ideas to simplify/streamline our integration landscape in alignment with integration design and patterns.
• Responsible to maintain the configuration specification documentation both for functional and integration configuration.
• Manage/Update JIRA Board during the lifecycle of an implementation focusing on requirements gathering, configuration, validation/testing, training, and go-live activities during releases.
• Work with the Globalscape team to edit/update/maintain integration interfaces.
• Work with entimo (vendor) on requirements, issues related to entimICE, Security Set-up and Functional Configuration.
• Responsible to solve day-to-day incidents, service requests and work towards incident-reduction and automation. Also, update Service Now (ticket management tool) for all events with respect to the incidents, service requests, changes and problems.
• Drive small modules in support transitions and ensure application stability when taking over BAU support of new applications.

Mandatory skills:

• Oversee end-to-end Storage Management process identifying automation needs documenting to understand and execute against platform scope and partnering alongside key partners to design and implement solutions that match the need of the business
• Build and Setup including the hardware, software, integrations and data required to support the integrated clinical environment
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux to write shell scripts to help understand the access/security requirements to be enabled via Linux hosts and network storages within the Platform.
• Knowledge of support processes like Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management and experience working in support teams.
• Knowledge of Clinical Trial processes across pharmaceuticals/biotechnology specifically as they relate to clinical studies.
• Degree in Engineering/Life Sciences.

Desired skills:

• Knowledge and experience in analysis and reporting within the pharmaceutical industry, its relevant business processes, clinical trial information, regulations, and guidelines impacting the drug development process
• Root cause analysis and Long term solution for problems
• Working knowledge of R, Python concepts desired
• Experience of working in agile teams using methodologies such as SCRUM and SAFe
