We are looking for a versatile PowerShell or CLI content developer who can work across the Azure platform to provide a consistent and meaningful experience for developers. Our team provides language-specific guidance for Azure services on docs.microsoft.com. In this role, you will collaborate with multiple teams inside Microsoft to write PowerShell, CLI, or other language-specific developer guidance for various Azure services. You’ll get a chance to learn about the range of Azure services, as well as work with product teams, solutions architects, and other subject matter experts.

- Write and edit content for developers. Your docs will be specific to using a particular language with multiple Azure services, and the content you write will be on Microsoft Docs (https://docs.microsoft.com).
- Collaborate with program managers, consultants, and other content developers to co-author content.
- Produce high quality, customer focused documentation that is clear, accessible, and easy to find.
Qualifications

- Proficiency with PowerShell and preferably one or two of the following: C# (.NET), Java, Python, JavaScript, and the Azure Command-line interface (CLI).
- At least two years of technical writing or development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or Communications, or equivalent experience.
- Strong written and verbal English skills.
Nice to have:
- Git and Markdown
- Experience with a public cloud platform
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
