Eaton is looking for a full-time English speaking Contract Manager to work in the Law Department and to take a lead role in providing legal support on global supply chain/commercial contracts for indirect and direct category across Eaton. The incumbent will be part of an international team working with International Supply Chain organisation as well as other Legal Contract Managers, Business Attorneys and Professionals in various locations and levels throughout Eaton. The incumbent will be responsible for providing legal support on supply chain commercial contracts – from review and drafting through negotiation, internal approval and contract finalisation. Your main duties: Analyze, interpret and negotiate terms and conditions for various commercial deals and projects for direct procurement (e.g. Brand labelling, Bailment, Consignment, Connected Components etc.), negotiating defined contracts for strategic accounts. Ensure compliance with established processes for contract review via Eaton's Contract Lifecycle Management tool, as well as continued compliance with policies and standards deployed throughout our International Supply Chain organization. Provide legal advice on contract terms and conditions and identify and assess risk related to alternative terms and conditions Take lead role in negotiating complex, high value contracts and/or contracts for strategic accounts. Be informed of existing agreements, approved risk mitigation plans, ongoing negotiations, win/loss reasons and use such information to develop and improve contract reviews, risk mitigation actions, negotiation strategies, approval recommendations, resulting with informed decision making and acceptable risk taking by the business. Prepare contract risk assessments for internal stakeholders' approval based on Eaton’s policies and procedures. Proactively identify potential problems and devise creative solutions that strike an effective balance between cost and return, including both short term and long-term business and legal considerations taking into consideration the required connectivity between Eaton's customer and supplier contracting. Provide regular training for Eaton’s Supply Chain professionals on defined contractual concept and contract management processes. Qualifications Required: Legal Degree/Qualified lawyer is an advantage, but it is not essential At least 5 years’ legal or contract management experience Good knowledge of general Commercial Law. Experience with Direct procurement contracts. Experienced negotiator and comfortable in negotiations. Fluent in English. Another European language is an advantage.
