You’ll come on board at an exciting time as you'll not only be elevating our brand creative, but contributing to the team building our internal agency from the ground up. This is one of those “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunities where you’ll be integral to the agency’s success right from the beginning. To do this right, we need to hire the best and brightest—and that’s why we want you! Reporting into a Creative Director, you’ll work alongside art directors, designers, and content creators. You have a mastery of brand voice, eloquently bridging narrative-driven storytelling, and benefits-driven calls to action. You collaborate easily with design partners to generate compelling campaigns that deliver results. You think conceptually but ground your ideas in strategy. You are as adept at writing a script as you are at crafting performance headlines and social posts. But most importantly, you understand that at the heart of every piece of communication is the consumer. Responsibilities: Oversee copywriting for core brands, delivering a consistent voice and messaging that pays off on brand strategy Concept and collaborate with creative partners to deliver high-performing creative—from concepting campaigns to conversion-oriented communications Deliver data-driving, insightful content for all channels— video, social, digital, mobile, PR, and more Champion the brand voice and the value of persuasive copy Maintain and iterate tone of voice guidelines, copy styles and messaging themes Motivate and mentor a team of copywriters to produce high-quality creative ideation, development, and execution of channel deliverables Collaborate with project managers to ensure resource alignment based on brief assignments Partner with compliance and review teams to incorporate ongoing requirements and feedback, while ensuring creative work adheres to brand standards Qualifications Qualifications: 7+ years of creative copywriting experience at an agency or in-house environment; experience in beauty, retail, health, or CPG a plus Diverse portfolio showcasing exceptional copywriting and campaign strategy across a variety of media—social, video, commercial, web Expert knowledge of campaign development and advertising production processes Sound understanding of content, UX writing and digital fundamentals Proven ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills Extreme attention to detail and grammar Bachelors in English, Communications or Journalism; or the equivalent #LI-ADL Significant Work Activities Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day) Travel No Job Type Experienced Schedule Full-time Job Level Code IC About AbbVie AbbVie’s mission is to discover and deliver innovative medicines that solve serious health issues today and address the medical challenges of tomorrow.
