The opportunity
In this role, you will play an important part in the Core HR team. You will provide efficient and effective processing of HR administration within specific procedural and service guidelines. You and your team will be responsible for the accurate and speedy processing of all Separation and Debt activity in accordance with agreed key performance indicators, and the coordination of this information for the accurate processing of payroll activity. You will be expected to consider requests in accordance with the Firm’s policies.
In the role, you will have the opportunity to develop professional working relationships with key Talent stakeholders including HR Business Consultants and other operational contacts. You should be committed to your own personal development through completion of appropriate learning, and the development of the team by identifying potential process improvements. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to wider Talent Shared Services and HR projects and initiatives.
Your key responsibilities
- Deliver excellent service in line with Core HR processes and manage the distribution of work to your team focussing on priorities, KPIs and SLAs. Follow the Global Process Model (GPM) and local work instructions to execute separation and debt transactions including the production of clear and concise internal communications
- Act as a subject matter resource for separation and debt processes.
- Self-review that all process steps and payroll actions are fully completed to ensure accurate payroll processing and eradication of errors.
- Coordinate cyclical activity aligned to the annual operational calendar to support the wider team
- Carry out payroll auditing, independent spot checks using a range of tools e.g. reporting and the coordination of payslip checking across your team
- Action Core HR housekeeping and other related reports, taking appropriate actions identified within the reports.
- Process all administration relating to the separation of employment including production of internal communications, processing of final payments and managing any debts.Oversee and proactively manage debt cases with finance stakeholders on behalf of your team.
- Resolve queries escalated by your team in respect of complexity or where decisions and judgement fall outside of the validation matrix, and those initiated by the EY Help HR team that require further administration/transactions. Ensure satisfactory closure of issues that develop into cases, and ensure any learning is taken on board for you and your team
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of current EY policy and process developments.
- Ensure compliance with the Firms’ policies, best HR practice and employment legislation at all times.
- Regularly support the continuous improvement initiative.
Skills and attributes for success
We are looking for people with previous administration experience, ideally within a service delivery and team environment.
To qualify for the role you must have:
- GCSE qualification level or equivalent
- An ability to work to and enhance prescribed HR procedures • Attention to detail and a focus upon accuracy and quality
- Experience of taking the lead across an operational team within a busy high-volume environment
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Knowledge of operational HR systems
