MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Plans and directs operations in the geographical region security function under senior management direction to include:

• Physical security of non-product facilities

• Executive protection

• Traveler safety

• Investigations

• Provides security leadership to the sites and establishes the region’s security business plan.
• Identifies significant security risks, designs and implements strategies and programs to prevent and reduce loss of the organization’s assets.
• Develops and implements policies, procedures, standards and methods for identifying and protecting personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, sabotage or loss.
• Develop and maintain close relationships with high-level law enforcement, diplomatic, intelligence, and private sector counterparts.
• Conduct professional threat assessments and brief senior management on the status of international security issues.
• Handles extremely sensitive and high profile investigations that may have political or social ramifications within the public/international domain.
• Upon request and as needed, assists the security and investigative functions of other departments to fulfill The Home Depot’s overall objectives, including:

• Assistance to Internal Audit on corporate compliance.

• Assistance to International Logistics on issues of C-TPAT compliance.

• Assistance to Global Sourcing on issues of SER compliance and QA.

• Assistance to Information Technology on issues of information protection.

• Assistance to Human Resources on issues of employee conduct.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in an area of study relevant to this position and more than 8-10 year experience with a major corporation and/or law enforcement, intelligence, military security or a private sector security organization.
• The candidate must have demonstrated experience and exposure in the area of international security and/or investigations.
• The ability to professionally conduct business in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese and English is required and will be tested.
• CFE, CPP designations are preferred.
