As a Senior Credit & Collection analyst APAC, you will be reporting to the Credit & Collections Manager, your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Manage Commercial APAC customers sales ledger accounts ensuring that data is accurate and up to date.
- Day to day review of credit check alerts and sales orders leading to decision making for holding or releasing the delivery of these orders.
- Chasing overdue debts by telephone, email & letter within agreed times-scales. Making collection calls, maintaining a professional approach at all times.
- Resolving customer queries in a timely manner.
- Review incoming standby letter of credit applications and amendments to determine workability.
- Provide leadership and take ownership in complex or difficult letter of credit transactions
- Monitor pending inquiries, discrepancies and resolution of documents filed, ensure that all items are actively traced via correspondence with respective parties, tickler schedule and actively follow-up until payment is secured.
- Working as a part of the team to ensure collection and query targets are met, maintain accurate records for all account activity.
- Process and respond to incoming post on a daily basis.
- Assist in customer disputes through to resolution by liaising and supporting commercial business areas with necessary information and actions.
- Liaise with customers to minimize business risk exposure to ensure customer contractual payment terms are adhered to.
- Confirm accurate payment dates to enable accurate cash forecasting.
- Where appropriate, ensure month end procedures are completed accurately and to agreed business.
- Carry out accurate reconciliations, as and when required.
- Set and manage Bad debt provision plans to ensure timely resolution, coordination with our US treasury department.
- Liaise with sales ops department to resolve customer invoices issues.
- Familiar with internal control (Sox) frameworks and regulatory.
The Ideal Senior Credit & Collection Analyst, APAC will have:
- Previous credit collection experience; a minimum of 5 years working within a credit control and debt collection function in APAC region, include +3 years managing Bank Credit letter.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or business –related field.
- Passion for 100% accuracy and relishes deadlines targets
- Good understanding of credit control and polices, practice and procedures.
- Professional approach in dealing with clients
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and possess a pragmatic approach to solving problem.
- Ability to prioritize workloads and multitask, possess a “right first time attitude”.
- Previous working knowledge of Oracle Cloud with a collection management module is an advantage.
- Strong Excel skills, Vlookup
- Fluent English and Chinese (Mandarin), any additional language is an advantage.
